Requirements for the commercial patio enclodure of Restaurant BISCHOFSHOL
Increasing the seat number in his patio was the top priority of the client. Due to the harsh weather conditions, the uncovered terrace area was to be designed to be weather-independent. In addition, the new patio roof should visually connect to an existing pergola roof and be provided with side glass walls that offer maximum flexibility in any weather. The architectural challenge lay in a rafter assembly where the rear posts of the new pergola system were attached to the existing roof of the main building.
